28 Jul Most Patterned Places

Pattern is art that you can find anywhere, even in the places you would least expect! We decided to point out some of our favorite patterned places around the world!

Morocco

Layered rock formations speckled with snow. Lush, leafy green forests. Rippling sands of the African desert. Deep, sea-green coastlines. An expansive history of Arabic, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Islamic art, religion and culture. Whether it is the textured rock patterns in the Saghro Mountains, the alluring colors of Mediterranean coast, or the brightly colored zellige tile patterns in the King Hassan II Mosque, Morocco is home to an overwhelming array of patterns, vivid colors, geometric designs and breathtaking views.

Taking a walk through the streets of Marrakesh is the perfect way to admire the colorful opulence of Moroccan patterns and designs.

Turkey, Istanbul

The exotic smell of spices fills your nostrils as you inhale. You hear the voices of thousands of merchants and shoppers speaking Turkish. You look around and see every color in every shade imaginable. Bright blues, fiery reds, opulent golds. The food, the clothing, the fabrics, the lights, the dishes, everything is bursting with vibrant color. There are pillows with intricate needlework patterns, hand-made mosaic lamps, patchwork handbags, beautiful silks, ornate scarves and patterned carpets. Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar is an experience in intense, intricate and inspiring color and pattern.

Spain

Here at Stacy Garcia Inc., we recently found inspiration in Spain – just look at our new collection, Seville! Spain has uniquely incorporated elegant history, bold colors and daring patterns. The architecture spans from grand and elegant to uniquely modern. While colorful mosaics permeate throughout the different styles, some mosaics are neat, smooth tilework while others are more organically creative. Spain proves that bright colors and creative patterns can fit into the most classically elegant or creatively modern spaces.
