Stacy Garcia Home X Crypton Fabric X Calico
for DIFFA’s Dining By Design

Dining By Design is the perfect setting of art, inspiration, and fundraising. At this event, internationally recognized designers, manufacturers, and luxury brands transform a 30,000 square foot space into a dynamic dining environment to help raise money for Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS.

This year we were honored to be a part of Dining By Design and collaborate with Crypton Home and Calico to create a space that showcases our first residential fabric collection for Crypton Home. The  Pattern Play collection includes a variety of looks—floral, geometrics, paisley, an ethnic-inspired medallion and a brushwork plaid. We really wanted to use an assortment of these patterns to introduce a sense of whim and playfulness into the space.

We dubbed our vignette ‘Two Seasons’ because it is where the lovely, subdued tones of winter collide with the explosion of color that is spring. The juxtaposition of palettes evokes the long, bleak but beautiful winter, symbolizing the ongoing work of DIFFA over the past two decades-plus towards HIV/AIDS prevention, education and care. It breaks into the bright hues of spring, symbolizing the recent news of not one but two patients whose HIV is considered apparently cured, surely a bright harbinger of future advances in care and treatment of this global health issue.

Thank you Crypton Home, Calico, Mottahedeh & Co., QVC, Lenox, France&Son, and L’Olivier Floral Atelier for providing beautiful product for our space!
