13 Dec Reaching New Heights at the Faralda Crane Hotel

What’s more terrifying than sleeping in the top of a 50 meter tall crane? Maybe one that moves!? The Faralda Crane Hotel in Amsterdam designed by Studio Heem Haarlem is definitely giving us butterflies as we envision the 360 degree views and the sense of movement as you seemingly float above the town and main port. See what owner Edwin Kornmann Rudi has to say about a stay at this hotel below!

Now one of the most significant developments of its time, Faralda Crane Hotel is a monumental landmark located in the middle of the industrial NDSM heritage. Formerly known as Crane 13, a famous heritage and one of the most published buildings in Amsterdam, over 100 companies were involved to turn a “piece of crap” into an amazing and award-winning restoration landmark. Atop the 50 meter tall crane are 3 exclusive 5 star suites and a TV Broadcasting studio that can be entered directly by one of the panorama elevators.

Each suite is decorated by an international team of interior designers, containing a living room, an enclosed bathroom with rain shower and toilet, and a bedroom with a King size bed and a large bath while a heated spa pool is at the top of the tap. From every corner of the room you have a breathtaking view over Amsterdam and the river IJ for a truly the romantic and inspiring experience. As the crane’s wind vane mode enables the structure to move slowly in the wind, every day you have a different and marvelous view.

Needless to say, the Crane isn’t just for anyone. The guests are free spirits, creative and passionate people:
Artists, models, famous DJ’s, CEO’s and even Royals. Because of its huge structure and height, a stay in the crane remains completely incognito while offered a private and exclusive ambiance with full service. A security bodyguard and a hostess is even on request. Faralda has therefore become an internationally known hotspot for leading Corporate and Music events with access for guests only.
