30 Jun Trend Story: Natura Pt. 2

In part 2 of our trend story, Natura, we continue to explore the untouched parts of the earth through a magnifying glass, closely examining the natural forming surfaces we are surrounded by. The elements we discover inspire looks that are both textural and dimensional resulting in experiential design concepts you can connect with.

Mangrove Forest Palette

Be intrigued by a blend of rusty terra-cotta, dusty browns and neutral taupes as these colors create a warm and comforting feel. An unexpected pop of crisp Willow green and light mint offer a refreshing and revitalizing sensation allowing you to truly escape into the essence of nature. The earthy, organic hues mimic the look of elongated amorphous tree bark resulting in an abstract and highly textural pattern perfect to use in corridors.

Coastal Balance Palette

Enter a meditative mindset as you become instantly soothed by serene blues and greens with a hint of tranquil Moonstone. As these beautiful hues seemingly blend into one another like an ocean’s wave, we are reminded of the imperfect shapes textures and sounds which surround this coastal oasis. The design draws influence from zen gardens and stone circles created along the shoreline which results in a pattern that evokes a sense of balance and calm. With an over-scaled motif, this carpet is ideal to use in either hotel lobbies or conference centers.

Shifting Sands Palette

Slip into a tranquil state as you’re surrounded by creamy textures and pastel neutrals. Inspired by the shifting sunlight shimmering across sand dunes as the day progresses, this palette is comprised of warm ombré-like beiges and browns creating a seamless, yet intriguing look. A typically windy terrain, we wanted to capture a sense of movement by using these organic colors in soft, cascading painterly strokes with a pop of Obsidian for a hint of depth and dimension. This abstract pattern can be used in large spaces and small spaces such as in a hotel lobby, bar, and meeting rooms.
